Summer skincare for children.

Taking care of your child’s skin in summer in the right way is necessary to avoid the common skin problems of summer like prickly heat, suntan etc.
Following are the steps you can include in your child’s skincare regime.

1. Massaging the skin of your child with oils like coconut oil, olive oil is beneficial for blood circulation which helps the skin glow. It helps with the muscle relaxation and promote the growth of the child.

2. Cleansing the child’s skin daily with lukewarm water and a moisturising soap is necessary to avoid the dryness. Avoid hot water as it strips the skin of the natural oils that keep it healthy.you can use a homemade scrub or use a very gentle scrubbing mitten or sponge to exfoliate the dead skin cells. Regular exfoliation of the skin helps to achieve radiant and even toned skin.

3. Moisturising the child’s skin in summer is necessary to keep it hydrated, use a lightweight moisturiser. Use a lip balm to keep the lips hydrated. A lip balm with SPF is necessary to avoid lip darkening. Use baby powder to keep the child fresh when needed. It is important to keep the child hydrated all-day by helping the child to consume lots of water,juices,fruits and vegetables.

4. Protecting the child’s skin in summer by applying a sunscreen before stepping out in the sun is necessary. Use umbrellas to avoid suntan, sunburn. Choose light breathable clothing for the child’s skin to breath.
